This is a technical course describing the techniques used to determine the mechanical properties of metals and for non-destructive testing (NDT) of structures and components. It will explain the mechanical properties and testing procedures used for design, quality and the performance behaviour of metals. It will provide an overview of the features and capabilities of non-destructive techniques used to detect surface and sub-surface defects in metal structures and components.

This course applies to managers and technicians responsible for the testing of materials and products. It is equally suited to designers, engineers, and procurement and business development personnel in all branches of manufacturing engineering.
