The Digital Humanities Congress is a conference held in Sheffield every two years. Its purpose is to promote the sharing of knowledge, ideas and techniques within the digital humanities. Digital humanities is understood by Sheffield to mean the use of technology within arts, heritage and humanities research as both a method of inquiry and a means of dissemination. As such, proposals related to all disciplines within the arts, humanities and heritage domains are welcome. The conference will take place at the University’s conference facility, The Edge. The registration fee includes full attendance for both days of the conference, lunches and all refreshments. There is an optional, additional fee for the conference dinner which you can add to your booking during check-out. Accommodation is not included and should be booked separately.
The Workshop on Hong Kong Cultures, Arts and LanguagesDescriptionHKCAL@UK will organise a 2-day conference in Sheffield in June 2024 on Hong Kong diasporic cultural, art and linguistic expressions with the goal of engaging scholars of Hong Kong studies and Hong Kong artists in the UK, from Hong Kong and the global community in an intellectual dialogue of preserving, producing, and circulating arts, cultures and languages of Hong Kong. Fees include attendance, refreshments and lunch on the days indicated and welcome reception on 13 June. The conference dinner is an optional extra at additional costs to participants (which will be organised and advertised in due course).
