MusicWelcome to MusicThe Music Department relocated to the heart of the campus in early 2009, and occupies the newly refurbished Victorian Jessop building and the purpose-built Soundhouse. As an active centre of research, the Department of Music plays a role in the support of several national and international scholarly societies and journals. It is also a popular conference site, having recently hosted meetings of, for example, the Critical Musicology Forum, the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research, the English Folk Dance & Song Society and the British Forum for Ethnomusicology.
