DescriptionThe University of Sheffield is delighted to be hosting the 58th Meeting of the Population Genetics Group from Tuesday 7th until Thursday 9th January 2025. The Population Genetics Group (or PopGroup, or PGG) is an annual meeting of population and evolutionary geneticists held in the UK since 1968. The meeting showcases population and evolutionary genetics from across the world, and has a reputation for being a collegiate, welcoming and inspiring event. Many postgraduate researchers give their first ever conference talk at PopGroup. There will be a conference dinner on the evening of Thursday 9th January at the Kelham Island Museum. Including a Ceilidh after the dinner. The price to attend the dinner (Banquet) is £60 and can be added as an optional extra in the second stage of your booking. Dinner places are limited The Population Genomics Bioinformatics Workshop will be on Monday 06.01.2025 2-5pm - this is for postgraduate students only! We can offer free conference attendance to one member of any couple who will be sharing childcare duties during the conference. To take up this offer, please specify this in your booking.
