Fire Engineering Design of Steel and Composite Structures

Fire Engineering Design of Steel and Composite Structures

Description

A continuing Professional Development Course in Structural Fire Engineering

Course content

Internally the course forms part of an MEng/MSc module in structural fire engineering. For external delegates it is possible to attend for any combination of days, with the fees being pro rata. Powerpoint handouts will be provided in hard copy and electronic formats, together with some additional background materials and spreadsheets.

Who should attend?

The course will be of use to structural engineers, building control authorities and others involved in ensuring fire resistance of buildings, who wish to understand the background and principles of structural fire engineering, particularly in the context of the considerable advances in the state of the art which have taken place over the past two decades.

Please see 'More Info' tab for additional course content

10th Edition of the Workshop on Nonlinear System Identification Benchmarks

10th Edition of the Workshop on Nonlinear System Identification Benchmarks

Description

This 10th edition of the Workshop on Nonlinear System Identification Benchmarks again seeks to bring together researchers from across academia and industry with interest in the modelling of nonlinear dynamic systems. It is a forum facilitating the exchange of ideas and knowledge between the control, machine learning, and mechanical engineering communities. The workshop is open to both presenting and non-presenting participants. Contributions are expected to present the outcome of their favorite system identification approach on one or more of the benchmark datasets. The workshop is organized as an in-person event.

The registration includes coffee breaks, lunches, a welcome drink, and a social dinner.
