DescriptionInaugural UK Glia Network Meeting The first UK Glia Network meeting will take place on the 9th of September 2024 in the Diamond Building at the University of Sheffield. This friendly meeting is aimed at researchers of all career stages, from undergraduate students to established leaders in the field. The scientific focus of the meeting is glia and will be of interest for those actively investigating glia function in health and disease along with those keen on incorporating glia research into their agenda and those looking to expand their knowledge on fundamental glia biology and the roles they play in pathophysiological conditions including in neurodegeneration and neuropsychiatric disorders. The day will consist of research presentations from world leading academics from across the United Kingdom, refreshment breaks and lunch for networking and poster sessions in a spacious atrium just outside the lecture theatre.
