Description
Myths are living stories, passed down and reimagined across generations and cultures. This course explores pervasive myths found in classic Chinese literature—tales as enduring as Greek mythology or modern epics like The Lord of the Rings and His Dark Materials. These narratives are both culturally distinct and universally relatable, capturing the human imagination through heroic adventures. The creatures within them are spirited, striving for self-growth, love, power, and the welfare of the world. Through these sessions, we will bring together legends, mythical beings, healers, and spirits found in Chinese literature for those who are interested in language learning, creative writing, mythology, fantasy, and cultural enrichment / extracurricular activities.
