Detailed Description
***Note the cases for the course are renewed each academic year, please avoid attending twice in the same academic year***
Discover the practical essence of microbiology with this course at the University of Sheffield Laboratories. Guided by experienced biomedical scientists and consultants, this course is tailored for trainees with some laboratory experience. It offers a focused opportunity to expand and deepen their knowledge of practical laboratory work.
Through the course, the trainee will encounter a series of cases with laboratory and clinical discussion points and will have a chance to perform practical skills and gain a direct observation of procedural skills (DOPS). This is also valuable practical experience that will help preparation for Part 1 and Part 2 of FRCP (Medical Microbiology). Each year the cases will be different so trainees can attend multiple courses.
