DescriptionAre you interested in learning more about chips and excited about designing your own? We are too! Join us for our Tiny Tapeout workshop at the University of Sheffield on Wednesday 4th March, where you’ll learn the basics of digital chip design and start building your own design for fabrication. This workshop is for university students (from any university). Together we’ll be aiming to tape out on the SkyWater open-source process, with a target tapeout in May. The workshop is supported by our industry partners EnSilica (EnSilica), GarField Microelectronics (GFMicro) / Presto Engineering (Presto), and Novomorphic, with additional support from the Centre for Heterogeneous Integration of MicroElectronic and Semiconductor Systems (CHIMES) and the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF). The event runs from 13:00 to 17:30, followed by food and networking with our engineering team and industry partners. For full details, see the “More info” tab. If you’re currently a university student and want a hands-on intro to chip design, ending in a real submission for manufacturing, sign up and come along!
