Elderly patients have special needs requiring the attention of experienced clinicians. This programme looks at six case histories in which elderly edentulous patients are assessed, illustrating difficulties frequently encountered. Examples of sound practice can be observed, showing how all the relevant information required for diagnosis and treatment can be obtained.
