This training course is held under the sponsorship of the School of Languages, Arts & Societies at the University of Sheffield. It aims to provide an engaging environment for exploring Arabic corpora in academic and applied contexts.

Course Description

This is a four-day short course focused on the use of digitally stored language data, known as corpora, as a methodological tool in linguistic, cultural, and Islamic studies. The course includes practical training and hands-on activities designed to equip participants with the skills needed to apply corpus-based methods within Arabic studies.

Cancellation Terms: 

- Participants will be eligible for a full refund if the course is postponed or cancelled due to insufficient enrolment. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the University’s standard refund procedures and timelines.

- Participants may cancel their registration up to and including 9 January 2026. Cancellations made on or before this date will be eligible for a refund, subject to any administrative processing requirements.

- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 9 January 2026, except in cases where the course is cancelled by the University.

- Where applicable, partial refunds may be considered at the University’s discretion to cover unavoidable administrative or processing costs.
