Detailed Description
This four week course introduces Chinese garments and history through fun and creative designing, cutting, collaging, posing, and modelling. Children (aged 6+) will acquire and demonstrate their knowledge of changes of garments and historical stories by studying historical figures, famous paintings and famous scenes in activities. They will choose items to research the changes in use, learning essential expressions of the designs and will exhibit their items in various forms including collage, photo posing, and modelling.

Weekly themes:
Week 1: Qin, Han, and Weijin - Shenyi and Changshan
Explore the clothing of Warriors, Men of Letters and Nobilities, and how the development of leisure life reflected in the garments
Week 2: Tang Dynasty
A fancy era in the elaborative and colourful clothing and the thousand faces
Week 3: Song and Ming Court and ceremonial costumes
Manners and Hierarchy and animal patterns
Week 4: Qing Dynasty
Court robes, Dragon robes, and Qipao robes
