Course Description

This short course will focus on the processes surrounding the set up of a clinical trial, from the point at which funding has been awarded to opening the first research sites. Through a combination of online teaching, group and individual activities, you will be taken through a practical step by step guide on the processes and dependencies in trial set up.

Who will benefit from the course?

The course is ideal for researchers from across the UK looking to set up a clinical trial (within the NHS). The general skills and processes are also applicable to research with human participants outside of the NHS. Research assistants, new trial managers, PhD students, research fellows and associates, among others, would all benefit from the knowledge and skills learnt during the course.
