 If you need to confirm a student’s attendance at The University of Sheffield you can request an academic verification.

There is a charge of £15.00 to commercial organisations for each request ordered.

As well as placing your order you will need to separately email a scanned copy of signed authorisation from the student for release of the information to a third party.

The email address for this is [email protected]  please include the student’s full name and your order number as the subject.

When we have received the order from the store and the authorisation email we will process the request.

This normally takes three working days to process but may take up to four weeks if we need to query requests where data is incomplete, if the data does not match our records or the student graduated before 1998.

This charge is applicable per request, regardless of whether we can or cannot confirm a student's attendance or if you cannot obtain the student's authorisation for release. Please make sure you have the correct details before making a purchase.

We cannot provide personal (character) references for current or former students. Such requests should be directed to the academic department in which they studied. If we receive such a request, we will pass it on to the department, which will delay the response.
